Dragon Age: Origins was released last week to stellar review scores and a wealth of publicity. I’ve seen many fellow gamers pick it up over the past couple of days, so I’d like to ask: What’s your take on Dragon Age: Origins?

I’ve been playing it quite extensively and have thoroughly enjoyed exploring the world of Ferelden thus far. In fact, Dragon Age: Origins seems well on it’s way to becoming one of my favourite games of all-time and I’m already looking forward to a second, and possible third, playthrough.

So you can look forward to a lot more Dragon Age coverage (also some words on Journeys and possibly the first book) over the coming weeks. When I manage to pull myself away from the game that is…

Before I forget, I did close down the previous poll (Are You Playing Aion?) and it seems most of you aren’t playing it. I delve further into the results below.

Are You Playing Aion?

This was the question I posed to you several weeks ago and the reactions were mostly negative.

No less than 44% of you claimed not to be playing Aion. Not a very surprising result, because this is hardly a MMO-oriented blog, but what is surprising is that this answer only started to come out on top about a week ago. Perhaps the lack of Aion coverage spurred on the regular visitors to vote more?

Until then ‘Yes!’ was firmly in the lead, although it stranded at 26% of the total votes. The ‘Still thinking about it’ option ended with exactly the same number of votes.

The final two answers were slightly out-of-date by the end of the poll, so it should come as no surprise that only ‘Sort of, still stuck in server queues’ managed to gain 4% of the total votes.
