The news that many top games, such as Aliens vs Predator, BioShock 2, Mass Effect 2 and Mafia 2 were to be delayed until early 2010 due to excessive competition was a hard blow earlier this year. I have to admit I was a little worried as to whether we’d be seeing any decent games during these winter months, but fortunately the publishers were right!
These last few months have been a treat, especially for RPG fans. Dragon Age: Origins will easily qualify for a multitude of Game of the Year awards and no doubt Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (which doesn’t really deserve it) will follow suit. Then there is Divinity 2: Ego Draconis which is supposedly a solid RPG title and there are two major RPG expansion packs to be noted: Sacred 2: Ice & Blood and King’s Bounty: Amored Princess (stand-alone). And let’s not forget the re-release of one of the RPG genres’ greatest classics: PlaneScape: Torment.
In short, November was a great month, and the summary above doesn’t even comprise half of the titles released since the previous PC Game Release Date List on GameDrone. You can find a more complete list at the bottom of this entry.
Otherwise you can scroll on down for an extensive list of PC Game release dates. The coming months look to be filled with potential as sequels for major franchises are lined up in great numbers for the first few months of 2010. Keep in mind that these are European release dates, so availability in your region may vary!

Released last month:
- A Farewell To Dragons
- Allods Online
- Battleswarm: Field of Honor
- Borderlands: The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned DLC
- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
Surprisingly fun singleplayer missions. Multiplayer is mostly as terrible as expected. - Divinity 2: Ego Draconis
Haven’t gotten around to trying it out yet, but this RPG has received solid ratings. - Dragon Age: Origins
A strong candidate for Game of the Year as one of BioWare’s best games ever – and as such, one of the best cRPGs ever made. You don’t want to miss out on this. - Elven Legacy: Magic
- Elven Legacy: Siege
- EVE Online: Dominion
- James Cameron’s Avatar
Supposedly a mediocre action game - Gratuitous Space Battles: The Tribe
- King Arthur: The Role-playing Wargame
- King’s Bounty: Armored Princess
More of the same, but who cares when that means more awesome turn-based fantasy TBS/RPG gameplay? Well worth jotting down on your Christmas wish list. - Left 4 Dead 2
- Lord of the Rings Online: Siege of Mirkwood
- PlaneScape: Torment (re-release)
- Rogue Warrior
Terrible. Dysmal. Avoid-At-All-Costs! - Sacred 2: Ice & Blood
- Serious Sam HD
Seriously Awesome Co-Op! - Star Trek DAC
Pretty decent top-down multiplayer action game. - Star Wars: The Force Unleashed: Ultimate Sith Edition
Sickeningly huge. A whopping 25GB download on Steam. No doubt the singleplayer campaign won’t be quite that massive… - The Saboteur
