It’s been six months since alpha footage of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings was leaked onto YouTube, but now CDProjekt has at long last officially announced this new entry in the Witcher franchise.
A debut trailer, cinematic trailer and dev diary up on the official website are the only information currently available, but they speak volumes about how far CDProjekt has come since its early alpha version. The visual splendor has been turned up another notch, ensuring that The Witcher 2 may well be the prettiest RPG to date. It should also be noted that the gameplay sequences looked to run very smoothly, which is hopefully indicative of the level of polish on the final product.
Anyway, I’ve included all three videos below – along with the results of the previous poll. Take a gander and let me know what you think by voting in the poll in the sidebar.
Also feel free to comment if you’d like to explain your choice in further detail. I’d vote yay, but then The Witcher ranks amongst my top games of all-time so I may be mildly biased.
Let’s begin with the results of the previous poll: “What’s your take on Dragon Age: Origins?”.
It ran for a good long while so I got a lot of votes in. As was to be expected for what was undoubtedly last year’s most popular PC game, it gained quite a few favorable votes.
- It’s great! (31%)
- Game of the Year for sure! (28%)
- Haven’t played it (17%)
- It’s okay… (14%)
- Don’t like it (10%)
