The most interesting newcomers are a sale on the excellent fantasy themed turn-based strategy game King’s Bounty: The Legend and one for the entire season of Telltale’s Tales of Monkey Island adventure game series. Meanwhile, the challenging Commandos Complete bundle and the excellent 3rd season of the Sam & Max adventure game series remain available at a low price.

A decent third-person action game with a cover system and mediocre plot. - Scrapland on Impulse – Save 50% Weekend Deal – 3,84 EUR
A third-person action adventure game that puts the robotic player character on the job of solving a murder mystery in a wide-open game world. It’s a game with a lot of charm and humor, but suffers from excessive repetition.
Adventure
- Ghost Pirates of Vooju Island on GamersGate – Save 50% Weekend Deal – 9,95 EUR
This is a recently released humoristic adventure game involving pirates, ghosts and vooju magic. It features beatiful modern 3D graphics, but falls short of the mark in comparison to those other recent pirate-themed adventure game series: Tales of Monkey Island and the Monkey Island remakes.
First Person Shooter

Blacklight: Tango Down is a fairly recent multiplayer-oriented first person shooter that adds in a unique device with its Hyper Reality Visor. This visor allows players to spot threats anywhere on the map, but doesn’t allow them to use their weapons. Apart from this interesting feature it’s mostly just a generic multiplayer shooter with a bad lobby system. - NecroVisioN: Lost Company on Green Man Gaming – Save 87% Weekend Deal – 3,62 EUR
The latest title in the NecroVisioN franchise is actually a prequel that puts you in the shoes of a German soldier fighting off hordes of monsters during World War I. A good deal if you’re into arcade first person shooters with hordes of mindless monsters to blast your way through. - Serious Sam: The First Encounter on Direct2Drive – Save 40% This Week – 6,- EUR
Serious Sam is the brainless kind of shooter that sends hundreds of monsters barreling your way and asks you to pump them full of lead. It mixes fast-paced, all guns blazing, action with extensive multiplayer, co-op and humor. It should be noted that the HD remake is generally considered to be better and is likely more popular. - Serious Sam: The Second Encounter on Direct2Drive – Save 40% This Week – 6,- EUR
The superior sequel to the aforementioned game and a blast to play with friends in co-op, but again the HD version is better and more popular.
Role-playing Game

ArcaniA is the fourth game in the long-standing open-world RPG series Gothic and is looking to be no less engaging than its predecessors. Hopefully it will be released without the slew of bugs that plagued Gothic 3. - Champions Online on Direct2Drive – Save 85% This Week - 6,- EUR
In Champions Online you create your own superhero and explore the Champions universe. Choose a class, create a character and team up with three friends to defend your dungeon from waves of monsters! This bundle contains The Guild 2 and all three of its expansion packs. The Guild 2 is a medieval life simulator with an emphasis on economics. It suffers from a low budget and a plethora of bugs, which make it significantly less appealing than that other low budget medieval life simulator which focuses on action: Mount & Blade. But it should still be an entertaining venture for fans of the genre.

A retro-themed indie real-time strategy game where you have to save the Darwinians from extinction as a computer virus has infiltrated their world. It only features singleplayer, but is actually quite fun to play. - Men of War: Red Tide on Direct2Drive – Save 70% This Week – 6,- EUR
Men of War is a hardcore real-time strategy game that focuses on a very limited number of troops and a high degree of realism. This sequel to Men of War introduces a brand new campaign spanning 23 missions and 4 factions during World War 2. It also includes six historical battles fought in the 1941-1945 time period and more than one hundred different units. - Nemesis of the Roman Empire on Impulse – Save 50% Weekend Deal – 3,84 EUR
A decent real-time strategy game set during the Punic wars. - Seven Kingdoms 2 on Impulse – Save 50% Weekend Deal – 5,76 EUR
Seven Kingdoms 2 is an good, but old, real-time strategy game in a fantasy setting. It includes heroes, numerous playable races and a random campaign generator. - Star Ruler on Impulse – Save 20% Weekend Deal – 15,19 EUR
This is a recently released 4X space RTS game that involves enormous, procedurally generated, galaxies and sports decent 3D graphics. It includes extensive modding and multiplayer support, but its most distinguishing feature is the sheer variability in gameplay experiences, with randomly generated galaxies, two different types of tech advancement, ship customization, various difficulty levels, and so on. Unfortunately it does suffer from a poor interface, bugs and doesn’t quite match up to most other games in the genre at this point. - The Settlers 7: Paths to a Kingdom Gold Edition on GamersGate – Save 55% Weekend Deal – 24,95 EUR
An excellent new addition to the celebrated Settlers franchise of medieval city-building strategy games. It features stunning graphics, excellent sound direction and engaging gameplay to form the best entry in the series since Settlers 3. But it comes with UPlay DRM which requires a constant active internet connection and you can find the regular edition at a lower price in webshops. - Warlords: Battlecry 3 on Impulse – Save 50% Weekend Deal – 3,84 EUR
An older but decent real-time strategy game with some role-playing game elements, such as powerful hero units. - World in Conflict Complete Edition on GamersGate – Save 50% Weekend Deal – 14,95 EUR
World in Conflict is a very innovative game in the real-time strategy genre. Players pick a class – infantry, armored, air or support – and order in a limited number of units to take over numerous control points spread across the map. It features the most compelling singleplayer experience in the genre and engaging multiplayer gameplay with objective-based FPS style teamplay, matchmaking, leaderboards, player advancement and drop-in matches. It should be noted that this package is similarly priced in most webshops.

Return to the hilarious and crazy world of King’s Bounty: Armored Princess. It includes two new campaigns and an expansion on the Armored Princess campaign. Also included are new creatures, items, spells, abilities and even a game editor! It promises to be mostly more of the same, but more of the very best game in a genre tends to be a good thing. A platinum edition including all King’s Bounty games is also on sale, just in case you’ve yet to bite into this tasty turn-based fantasy RPG franchise. - UFO: Afterlight on Green Man Gaming – Save 60% Weekend Deal - 7,22 EUR
Afterlight places the focus on a small human colony on Mars that has to thrive in the face of constant alien invasions. It’s a much better game than Aftershock and a solid mixture of global strategy and small-scale tactical combat. - World War 2: Time of Wrath on Impulse – Save 50% Deal – 13,49 EUR
A decent turn-based grand strategy game set in World War 2.

Become the manager of a football team and lead it to top of the local and international leagues. It’s a fairly addictive game despite the lack of actual control over the football matches themselves, but you do get to decide on the tactics, training and line-ups beforehand.

Take charge of an armada of goo and use it to form all sorts of weird contraptions to solve puzzles. It’s charming, humorous and challenging.
