Two excellent co-op zombie killing games in one cheap package. Left 4 Dead offers a more interesting cast of characters, but Left 4 Dead 2 introduces a great deal of variety in weapons, items and zombies which makes it a slightly more entertaining experience. Both are awesome games to play through in co-op or versus with friends, but they’re even good for a couple of hours of solo play as well. This pack includes the original Overlord game, the Raising Hell expansion pack and Overlord 2. In these games you play an evil overlord attempting to conquer the fantasy world mostly by walking around and defeating enemies or solving puzzles with your evil and crafty minions. They’re a blast to play due to their humoristic overtones, but the controls and camera do leave something to be desired. - Plants vs Zombies GOTY Edition on Steam / Impulse – Save 50% Halloween Sale – 4,99 EUR
Plants vs Zombies is a quirky tower defense game that sees our leafy backyard friends squaring off against deadly zombies in dozens of different levels. It’s varied, colorful and fun. There’s really no reason not to grab this. - S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Bundle on Steam – Save 75% Weekend Deal – 7,49 EUR
This bundle comes with the original S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl and the most recent S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat. These are easily the two best games in the series and offer excellent first person exploration of an eerily mutated Zone surrounding the Chernobyl facility. Wide open maps, inventories, decent dialogue, authentic Ukranian look and feel, a wide variety of weapons and generally outstanding gameplay make these games hard to miss. Be sure to install the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Complete 2012 mod which greatly enhances Shadow of Chernobyl and fixes a lot of lingering issues. - Warhammer 40.000: Dawn of War 2 Gold on Steam – Save 50% Weekend Deal – 14,99 EUR
Dawn of War 2 and its Chaos Rising expansion pack offer excellent real-time strategy gameplay in the futuristic setting of Warhammer 40.000. The singleplayer campaign isn’t particularly amazing, but its heavily RPG inspired gameplay is enjoyable. The multiplayer component offers excellent fast-paced and agressive matches (even more-so than StarCraft 2), while shifting focus from base building to resource management. - Warhammer 40:000 Dawn of War: Platinum Edition on Steam – Save 50% Weekend Deal – 9,99 EUR
The original Dawn of War real-time strategy game along with its Imperial Guard and Dark Crusade expansion packs. Dark Crusade is generally considered to be the best version of Dawn of War with its introduction of a non-linear singleplayer game, two interesting new races and numerous new units. This bundle does not include the Soulstorm expansion pack, but that’s by far the worst of the expansion packs with relatively little added value. It’s on sale should you wish to acquire the full set.
Action

In Dead Space you’re sent off to investigate a deep space mining ship that has gone dark only to uncover that a hideous affliction has grabbed hold of the crew. It’s a horror shooter of a slightly different kind in that it’s more intense due to the lack of ammo and weaponry as well as the monsters that keep coming even if you shoot off a few limbs. Factor in the solid graphics and a decent story and you’ve got yourself a winner. - Global Agenda on Steam – Save 30% Deal – 17,49 EUR
Global Agenda is a persistent online third person shooter. This means the characters you create have inventories, skills and levels similar to a MMORPG, but you’re playing PvP in small teams of 10 or PvE in similarly sized groups. Recent patches have added a lot of content and fleshed out the MMORPG aspect a bit with the first open PvE zone. It’s quite fun to play and even includes an excellent global conquest game for clans to engage in and it doesn’t come with a monthly fee! - Ghostbusters: The Video Game on GamersGate / Steam – Save 60% Halloween Sale – 7,99 EUR
A third person shooter that continues the Ghostbusters franchise sounds like it has a lot of potential. This game proves that it does, but mars the experience with mediocre graphics, poor controls and a lack of co-op play in the PC version. Otherwise it’s still a solid shooter that’s worth your while if you’re a fan of the franchise. - Halloween Zombies and Aliens on Get Games – Save 38% Halloween Sale – 9,99 EUR
This pack contains Alien Shooter 2: Reloaded, Zombie Driver and Zombie Shooter. That’s two solid top-down shooting games and one top-down driving game with guns and zombies to pancake. - Resident Evil 5 on GamersGate / Steam / Impulse – Save 50% Halloween Sale – 12,49 EUR
Monsters in the African desert isn’t a particularly common theme, but Resident Evil 5 pulls it off well. This third person shooter looks good, plays good and its story can even be mildly engaging at times. It even includes co-op mode, which makes this a very interesting deal. - Worms: Reloaded on Steam – Save 50% Weekend Deal – 9,99 EUR
A 2D sidescrolling action game involving worms with crazy accents, even crazier weapons and collectable hats. It’s a turn-based game in which you attempt to kill off the other team(s) of worms by means of weapons like the holy hand grenade and exploding sheep. Add in some modding support, achievements, leaderboards, a singleplayer campaign and multiplayer and you’ve got a fair purchase that should last quite a while. - Zombie Driver on GamersGate – Save 50% Halloween Sale – 4,49 EUR
Drive in a variety of different, upgradeable cars and annihilate the local zombies with mounted flamethrowers, miniguns and more. It’s short and more than a bit repetitive, but if driving around town killing zombies sounds like your thing then you’ll probably like it.

This point and click adventure game presents an eerie rundown village as its horror-themed setting. The third season of Telltale’s popular adventure game series has finally concluded and it’s the best season yet! The Whispered World is a fairly recent point-and-click adventure game with beautiful atmospheric visuals, a lot of interactivity and a large game world to explore and experiment with. It’s unfortunately hindered by poor voice acting and obscure puzzles, which feels like a throwback back to the Monkey Island days of “wtf am I doing?”.
First Person Shooter

Blast your way through aliens, predators or marines in this science fiction shooter done… somewhat right. It never quite manages to be as creepy and eerie as its predecessors, but it’s not a complete failure on the horror front and the gameplay is good. A solid sequel to BioShock which doesn’t impress quite so much in terms of atmosphere and storytelling, but does stick true to the formula of the first game and adds some welcome improvements, such as a greatly improved level of difficulty. It’s a game you’ll certainly want to play if you liked the original, but it does nothing to entice those who didn’t. - Bloody Good Time on Steam – Save 10% Launch Deal – 4,49 EUR

Gratuitous Space Battles is a space strategy game that involves ship assembly and positioning, but no control during battles whatsoever. Real-time 4X space strategy at its finest. The Stronghold series offers an interesting take on the real-time strategy genre. The five games included in this package all involve building a stronghold and then defending it from invasions while keeping it operational.
