Poll Time: Which role-playing game are you looking forward to the most?

The next few years are looking to be filled with big budget role-playing games, many of them sequels of franchise reboots. Doubtlessly many of you are looking forward to one or two of these games, so now it’s time to let your voice be heard and decide which RPG makes the cut as the most anticipated upcoming RPG. Vote for your RPG in the new poll that can be found in the sidebar!

I’ve included a lot of upcoming role-playing games, but one or two interesting titles may have slipped my attention. If your most anticipated RPG is not listed then let me know and I’ll add the game to the poll. My personal favorite has to be The Witcher 2, although Dragon Age 2 cuts it close. It’s a good thing that there should be a few months margin between the two, so I won’t have to pick and choose when they come out.

The new poll should last for two weeks. My apologies for letting the previous poll run on so long, but the results are in and can be found below.

It’s been way too long since the previous poll started, so I’m happy to finally call an end to it and reveal the results. The question posed was “Which digital distribution platform do you prefer?”, after some articles in which I highlighted both the good and bad sides of the surge in digital sales.

The end result isn’t all that surprising with the most widely used platform, Steam, coming out as the undisputed champion of digital distribution at 76% of the votes. None of the other platforms even came close, although it’s worth noting that services with monthly fees attached to unlimited access are clearly less popular than straightforward digital purchases as neither GameTap nor Metaboli managed to rank in any votes at all. Good Old Games does deserve an honorable mention for coming in at 4th place with 5% of the votes despite the poll running through the horribly failed publicity stunt that was the Good Old Games relaunch.
